1. Purpose

This policy sets out how [Your Business Name] conducts assessment for clustered HLTAID units, ensuring every assessment decision is valid, reliable, flexible and fair, and meets the requirements of the Standards for RTOs 2025.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all training and assessment delivered by [Your Business Name], including all trainers, assessors and third-party arrangements.

3. Policy

Assessment evidence for CPR performance must demonstrate at least two minutes of uninterrupted compressions performed on a manikin placed on the floor, observed and recorded by a qualified assessor using the mapped observation checklist.

Assessors must hold current credentials as defined in the trainer and assessor requirements, with currency verified against the annual and three-yearly cycles recorded in the compliance tracker.

Who these documents are for, and what they are. AidReady documents are written exclusively for Australian first aid training providers operating (or registering) as RTOs under the Standards for RTOs 2025. They are not suitable for other VET scopes or other countries. They are professionally built templates, developed and tested in a live ASQA registration — but every RTO is different, and you remain responsible for reviewing, contextualising and implementing them in your own operation. We don't know which training resources you use or exactly how you deliver, so some fields and sections are deliberately yours to complete — they're highlighted throughout to make that as easy as possible, but completing them takes your time and knowledge of your own business.
